Hello, my name's Chris Johnson. Around September of 2006 I was asked if I wanted to paint a mural in the children's wing of a church/community center named Hanover First Church of God. My family has always lived in and around Hanover. I went to look at the wall and was shocked to see a 35 to 40 yard stretch of mostly uninterupted white mason block. It was a dauntng task and I said I would see what I could come up with. In the next few months I drew up some sketches. Diane Hakes, the director of the children's department wanted a street scene that showed good virtues that they were trying to teach the children. I created a bunch of scenes and pieced them together over time and came up with a sketch that everyone was pretty happy with. In February 2007 I started painting the wall. This livejournal account is dedicated to my time at Hanover First Church of God. I will update it every week I work on the mural until it is finished.
